Mathletes Day is a free enrichment program for middle school students which takes place on Saturday for a 3-hour period each fall and spring semesters. It is a session demonstrating that math is fun, relevant, and leads to exciting careers.

Join Mathletes Day session to learn a wide variety of interesting topics that vary from semester to semester.

Pond Detectives: Exploring the Hidden World of Freshwater Life!

The workshop is open to all students currently in grades 6–8.

Students will discover the hidden world of freshwater life as they learn to use a compound microscope, collect and investigate pond-water samples, search for fascinating microorganisms, and use scientific clues to identify a mystery organism. Along the way, they’ll combine biology and math to complete fun scientific challenges and earn stickers for their Environmental Scientist Passports!
