The Student Engagement unit fosters student success by creating a culture of care where students experience a strong sense of belonging, are meaningfully connected, and are actively engaged in the university community. Through intentional programs and services that cultivate learning, development, and involvement, Student Engagement plays a key role in enhancing the student experience and supporting student success.
Dr.Suzy Jones
Assistant VP/Dean of Students
Under the leadership of Dr. Suzy Jones, the Office of the Dean of Students delivers a coordinated approach to student support, well-being, and accountability, ensuring every Eagle has the opportunity to thrive. Comprised of Basic Needs Initiatives, Student Care Services, Student Conduct, and Student Health Services, the office provides compassionate care and resources, empowers students through accountability, and serves as a consistent resource to support student persistence throughout their academic journey at the Nest.

Led by Suzanne Ries, Assistant Vice President, Campus Life, Recreation & Wellness enhances student success through engaging, student-centered experiences that foster connection, leadership, and well-being. Through involvement opportunities, recreation and wellness programs, fraternity and sorority life, leadership development, and student media, students are encouraged to live out the Eagle spirit and create meaningful connections across campus. With intentional programming and holistic support, Campus Life, Recreation & Wellness empowers students to discover their place, purpose, and voice within The Nest.
